Founder
Gordon Randolph (Randy) McPike, CLU, ChFC, was born in Indianapolis, IN, in 1941, and has been a Hoosier his entire life. He graduated from Ben Davis High School in 1959, and received his B.S. Degree in Education in 1963, and his M.S. Degree in Education Administration in 1964. Both degrees were from Indiana State College in Terre Haute, Indiana. His first job after graduation from college was teaching and coaching at Avon High School. He worked 12 years in the computer industry before entering the insurance business. He was an agent seven years before establishing McPike Insurance Agency, Inc. in 1983. He earned the designations of Chartered Life Underwriter and Chartered Financial Consultant from Bryn Mawr College in Pennsylvania, in 1982 and 1984 respectively. He is in his 47th year of insurance sales and service and is currently specializing in the Senior Market. Many of his clients refer to him as the “Go to Guy” when questions arise about Medicare.
In 2022, Randy will be celebrating 60 years of marriage with his wife, Karen D. (Royer) McPike. They have reared five children, Robert, Brent, Michelle, Rachelle, and Craig. He has been a life-long member of the Church of God and currently attends Westlake Community Church of God.
Medicare Expert and CEO
Michelle graduated from Ben Davis High School in Indianapolis, IN, in 1986. She then attended Indiana University, Bloomington, and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Education in 1990. After a year of substitute teaching and coaching softball, Michelle responded to a request late on a Sunday night in August, from her brother Bob, to fill in temporarily for the receptionist who had just started maternity leave. That was over 30 years ago and the beginning of her Property & Casualty career. In 2015, Michelle began working with her father, Randy McPike, learning the
Life & Health side of the business and became licensed in Life & Health insurance in January 2016. Michelle has always had a passion for helping others. Even though she is not teaching in a classroom full of students, she uses her education skills every day to help people understand insurance and guide them through the enrollment and application process.
Michelle has been married to her husband, Michael, since 1994, and they have an adult son Jonah. When not in the office, Michelle spends her time with family and friends, going to the dog park with her mini goldendoodles Boomer and Buck, playing a variety of sports including golf, volleyball, pickleball, and bike riding. She also enjoys cheering on the Colts, Pacers, Cubs and Hoosiers. She is an active member of Westlake Community Church of God in Indianapolis, where she can be found volunteering in a classroom with the kids.
